FREE CEU & Lunch Sponsored by Elmore Assisted Living & Home Health Care, Inc.

Social Workers & Nurses - Earn 1 HOUR FREE CEU Credit!

Person-Centered Thinking promotes the idea that the best care for others comes from a place of partnership, understanding, and on the goals of the person being cared for – not those of the caregiver. The Minnesota Department of Human Services recently issued clear guidance supported by recent state judicial findings on how person-centered thinking and practices should be integrated into all areas of service delivery. Case managers, social workers, and nurses who fully understand how to utilize person-centered practices in their approach to care will be far more prepared to comply with these new regulations while providing the best care for those they serve.

In this interactive and practical session, participants will learn:

  • What Person-Centered Thinking is and why it’s important in your work

  • How to integrate person-centered thinking into your daily work

  • When to incorporate the use of person-centered tools with those you serve
