About this event
The growing awareness of OCD has increased the desire for clinicians to better understand the disorder and help their clients. Despite a once held belief that OCD was rare and untreatable, the last 40-years of research has demonstrated that quite the opposite is true.
In this training, an overview of the current conceptualizations and psychological treatments developed from them will be introduced. Case vignettes will be used to highlight two evidence-based approaches to OCD. The first will be Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and the second will be a non-exposure model, Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT).
This training will be led by Mike Heady, LCPC. Completion of this training is worth 2.5 CEU credits for counselors, social workers, and psychologists in the state of Maryland. This training will be offered in person and virtually. If you would like to join us virtually, Zoom details will be sent out as the event gets closer!
