Event description

Description

Sponsored by Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care

Instructor: Belinda Williams

In today’s economic climate, children challenged with disabilities and developmental delays are at risk of losing access to critical rehab services. Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy intervention can make the difference between a life of dependency or one of empowering independence. Each child’s quality of life and sometimes even the length of life hangs in the balance. Therapists are consistently asked to give more, document generously, and advocate for the patients for whom they provide care. This highly interactive course provides clinicians with compulsory insights and the skills to more effectively meet these tasking demands.*

About the Speaker

Belinda Williams is a Registered Occupational Therapist, with more than 35 years of experience in a variety of health care settings, including psychiatric, geriatric, in-patient, and adult and pediatric home- and school-based care. Twenty years of pediatric experience and a strong passion for working with children and their families, has allowed Belinda to develop numerous practical trainings for healthcare professionals, schools, community groups, and families.

*The course is approved for 6 OT, PT, and ST CEUs by the TOTA, TPTA, and TSHA.
