Event description

Get ready for ARRI Lighting Techniques through hands-on training from industry professionals.

ARRI’s 3-day Lighting Course gives you the opportunity to build a solid foundation of lighting skills. The course structure is very practical; you will gain hands-on experience creating lighting that enhances the atmosphere of the final image. The planning and techniques vital to creative lighting will be discussed and applied in practical exercises.

Who should attend

  • Aspiring young cinematographers
  • Lighting camera professionals
  • Camera operators and assistants
  • Self-shooters and Self-shooting PDs
  • Camera owners/operators
  • Film & TV Production lecturers & tutors
  • Camera-rental technicians
  • Studio & Stage lighting technicians
  • Film-school graduates

The course opens with a discussion on human image perception. It moves on to analyze the positioning, shaping and directing of light. This is combined with practical and theoretical examinations of the most commonly encountered shooting situations, both in the studio and on location.

You will be working in a small group of maximum 6 people and the course will be tailored to meet the needs of all participants. It will improve your personal lighting craft and push your skills to the next level, equipping you with knowledge for future professional challenges.

ARRI cameras, ARRI lenses and accessories and of course the latest ARRI lighting fixtures are used for all exercises. This allows participants to gain practical experience in creating images using the finest industry-standard equipment.
