With over 23 years of experience in software development, 18 years as a coach/educator/public-speaker, over 8 years experience helping teams practice Scrum, I help organizations improve their work environment, technical practice, time-to-market, market-fit, performance, and quality.
My professional career highlights the intersections of business, technology, education and innovation. I am a guest lecturer at the Ivey School of Business, a TEDx speaker, and a seasoned Agile practitioner. I have significant “in-the-trenches” experience using Agile methods with product development &application support teams – including Scrum, Kanban, LeanUX, and OpenAgile. I am committed to helping transform people, process and culture in organizations.
In early 2015, I became a full-time member of BERTEIG. I regularly deliver training courses including 'Certified Scrum Master®' and 'Certified Scrum Product Owner®'. In addition, I frequently deliver non-certified courses about agile software delivery such as 'Kanban: Measurable Improvement for Business' and 'Introduction to Agile Software Development'.
