Description

Created for the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) Realtists members, this course was created to address helping buyers improve the efficiency of their new home purchased to lower the true cost of home ownership from the start and to help sellers to recoup value for energy efficiency improvements, especially when tied to a green certification label. With a focus on California specific programs and products, this training provides basic to advanced training in green building and sustainable business practices so that participants can seek out, understand, and market properties with green features specific to the needs of their communities. This is the only green certification conferred by NAREB, the leading professional organization for agents and brokers that are members of the largest African-American real estate trade organization. By earning the Certificate of Completion, real estate professionals receive:

  • The best, most relevant information about the industry in this market.
  • Access to a wealth of support collateral, such as customizable green client handouts, videos, and other professional marketing materials.

Each day of the course covers a different aspect of California focused green real estate with special emphasis placed on historically neglected communities:

  • Resource available to the real estate professional: Explore best practices in helping clients make good choices for maximizing energy savings and lowering homeownership costs and increasing home value, increased comfort and creating a healthier environment. Understanding available rebates and incentives.

Day 2

  • Developing and marketing a green business real estate practice: Learn how consumer preferences, marketing tools, and effective language can play a role in developing and marketing a green real estate business practice.
