Prerequisites

This course is suitable for people who are experienced in the practice of business analysis and who wish to prepare for the Level 3 – Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) exam sponsored by the IIBA® as long as the CBAP® application qualifications listed at the end of this document are met. IIL recommends that applicants complete IIL’s Business Analysis Certificate Program (BACP™) before taking this course.

Course Level

Intermediate /Advanced


The course provides targeted exam preparation support for IIBA® Level 3 – CBAP® exam candidates, including both a BABOK® Guide Version 3.0 content review and exam preparation tutorial. The class is interactive, combining discussion, application of concepts, study tips, and a practice exam. Knowledge Check quizzes and self-assessments allow candidates to identify areas of weakness and create a custom study plan tailored to their individual needs as well as study aids to support their exam preparation after the course. The course materials include a copy of A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) Version 3.0.

CBAP® Certification Criteria

Candidates for the IIBA®’s CBAP® must have at least 7,500 hours of business analysis work experience in the last ten years engaged in tasks specifically related to the Knowledge Areas as defined within the BABOK® Guide. They must have 900 hours of business analysis work experience in tasks specifically related to at least four of the six BABOK® Guide Version 3 Knowledge Areas. In addition, they must have at least a high school diploma or the global equivalent; a minimum of 35 hours of professional development over the last four years; two references from a career manager, client or CBAP® recipient, and agreement with the CBAP® Code of Conduct.
