This workshop covers: a) the requirements, application processes and resources available for the various certification programs for businesses owned by a racial minority, woman, veteran, or economically disadvantaged person; b) strategies for developing a capability statement to accurately and efficiently describe your business and its capabilities.

Central Ohio Minority Business Association (COMBA) tries to remain open during most periods of inclement weather; however, where extraordinary circumstances warrant, due to weather or other unforeseen business interruption, the company reserves the right to close the facility. Should this occur, COMBA makes a decision by 7:30 a.m. during periods of such inclement weather and will communicate this to workshop attendees and scheduled appointments; COMBA will also post the closure on the homepage of the website. Typically, if the school system is closed, our office will also be closed. If schools are closed for more than one day in a row, please check out website and your email for day-of decisions.

Central Ohio Minority Business Association (COMBA)

The Central Ohio Minority Business Association (COMBA), a 501(c)3 organization, was founded in 1978, to provide business development services to start-up, emerging and mature minority, female and disadvantaged small business owners.

Our services include: general business training, specialized industry training, one-on-one direct business counseling, and networking. COMBA administers the Columbus Minority Business Assistance Center and plan room which is funded by the Ohio Development Services Agency. COMBA serves the entire State of Ohio, with an emphasis on Franklin, Licking, Fairfield, Pickaway, Madison, Union and Delaware counties. All services are provided on a non-discriminatory basis.

 

COMBA is known as Your Business Resource.
