Description

If you are looking to develop your skills, these short Certificate programs are the ones for you! While Certificate Classes go deeper into technique, no prior experience is necessary.

Spend five days exploring International Cuisines, including: Italian, with Advanced Pasta Skills; Indian Spices & Techniques; Japanese Tempura & what Professionals need to know about Sushi; Middle Eastern Mezze (tappas); and Latin Moles and Ceviche.

Day 1: Italian Cuisine - Learn how to naturally color pasta with squid ink, beets, and spinach, make a variety of unique fillings, and create distinct hand-made pasta shapes.

Day 2: Indian Cuisine - Learn North Indian and South Indian traditional cooking styles and discover how the basic tenets of Indian cuisine can enhance the flavors of staple ingredients while creating dishes such as chicken tikka masala, jeer pulao, and paratha.

Day 3: Japanese Cuisine - This class will give you an overview of some of the most famous foods of Japan including sushi, shrimp and vegetable tempura, and ramen, along with a discussion of ingredients and equipment.

Day 4: Middle Eastern Cuisine - From Beirut to Jerusalem, you will get a taste of the incredible culinary heritage while making dishes such as falafel, baba ghanoush, lavash, and baklava.

Day 5: Latin Cuisine – Learn some of the most traditional dishes from around Latin America including authentic moles, Brazillian churrascaria, empanadas, and ceviche.

A Certificate in International Cuisines will be awarded to each student who successfully completes the requirements of the program.

$175 per day or $750 for all 5 days

This class will be held in Salt Lake City, at our new teaching kitchen located at 1484 South State Street. Included with your class are recipes, ingredients, and all the tools you will need. There is no minimum experience necessary. Closed-toe shoes are required.

If you are unable to attend class, you may have a family member or friend come in your place. *We reserve the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. This waiver specifically includes any claims made by you arising from the alleged negligent acts of Park City Culinary Institute LLC, its employees, and agents.

Note: Certificate Classes are not eligible for Recreational Cooking Class Gift Certificates. Only the dollar value of your Gift Certificate may be used to redeem Recreational Cooking Class Certificates for a Certificate Class.
