Learn about the upgraded Certificate in Creative Placemaking program offered by The National Consortium for Creative Placemaking and New England College. The program runs from October 23, 2019 to June 30, 2020, and is limited to 30 people.
This executive education program is designed for decision-makers, key influencers and emerging leaders in the world of arts or public affairs. Whether you run a creative placemaking organization, manage a program in a pulbic agency, or are a social practice artists who works in communities, you will get a lot of value from the program. Even if you're entirely new to the field, the Certificate may be right for you.
Creative placemaking, in short, is about growing healthier, more sustainable and more equitable communities through local arts and culture. In this program, you will learn how to do that by exploring community development, local economic development, site planning, destination marketing, alliance building, and collaborative leadership. You will also work on a capstone project -- a realistic work that can help you help a community of your choice.
