Hand build and decorate your own clay bell in this 2hr workshop.
These pretty little Dorei bells or Tsuchi Suzu are Japanese clay bells and have been part of Japanese culture for thousands of years from religious ceremonies to being used as protection/good luck charms to merely bringing joy from their gentle sound.
In this workshop you will be introduced to different clay types, then guided through all the steps to hand build a circular Dorei Bell and decorate it with underglaze in a design of your choice.
Following the class, your bell will be fired and clear glazed, a hemp rope for hanging will be attached and then posted out to you, approx. 3 weeks or you can pop by to collect if you are local.
This is a fun and relaxed workshop and you can make more than one bell if time allows.
No experience is necessary.
