Description

The Central Texas Dyslexia Conference 2018, "Dyslexia A to Z" is a free conference for families, educators, individuals with dyslexia, and other professionals. Dr. Nathan Clemens of the University of Texas, whose research and teaching focuses on improving instruction and intervention for students with reading difficulties in preschool through adolescence is the keynote speaker. Dr. Jennifer Petrich, also known as the "Literacy Doctor", will be a featured speaker. Participants will have three opportunities to attend breakout sessions on topics such as: multisensory math instruction, early screening and intervention, spelling & morphology, dysgraphia, executive function & ADHD, assistive technology, interpreting school evaluations, advocacy, comprehension strategies, and a dyslexia simulation. Boxed lunches will be available onsite should you want to attend one of the lunch and learn sessions. CEUs and ALTA hours will be available for educators.
