Event description

Description

Join your Central Synagogue community for the NYC premiere of the film Wrestling Jerusalem. This critically acclaimed one man play turned film, offers a riveting exploration of the multidimensional narratives embedded in the Palestine/Israel conflict. Through the voices of 17 different characters on all sides of the divide, the film’s Actor and Writer, Aaron Davidson, leads the audience on a journey into the middle east and the intersection of politics, identity, and spiritual yearning.

Following the film, audience members are invited to attend an audience Q&A, and talk back session led by Ethan Bronner (Bloomberg News), with Dylan Kushner (Director), Aaron Davidson (Writer/Actor), and executive producer Jeannie Blaustein.

Ethan Bronner is a senior editor at Bloomberg News focused on analytical and investigative pieces. He spent 17 years at The New York Times, including as Jerusalem bureau chief. He was also based in Jerusalem for The Boston Globe in the early 90s and for Reuters in the mid-80s.
