Event description
Central Standard comes to you live for an evening of storytelling at recordBar

About this Event

Join KCUR's Central Standard and host Gina Kaufmann for a night of stories about work in honor of Labor Day.

The average person spends 90,000 hours at work over the course of a lifetime. 90,000 hours! During that time, we try to accomplish things, we try to make a living, maybe we even try to make a difference. We also encounter lots of people who expect things of us. For a massage therapist: the client. For a politician: the voter. And for a busker, it’s the random person walking down the street. All those interactions, expectations and personal hopes and dreams add up to 90,000 hours worth of stories. A cast of local characters will regale us with stories that reveal the unexpected humanity (and occasional absurdity) in their line of work.
