Event description

Description

One of the best ways to get to the heart of Central Park is on foot. Your guide, a former Central Park employee, will expertly lead you on a tour offering a complete picture of this iconic New York City landmark. We are excited to lead you on a discovery of Central Park as a friend and guest. On this tour, you will hear about its origins, witness its design, experience the cultural influences and feel the peace that comes from being in a natural environment.

Many people know of Central Park, but they do not know what is there besides things like Strawberry Fields and a zoo. With 843 acres, this landscape masterpiece has a lot to offer and your guide possesses an intimate knowledge of the park which they are excited to share. Along the way we will visit the Gapstow Bridge (pigeon lady bridge from Home Alone II), the Wollman (Trump) Ice Skating rink, the Dairy, the Mall (Literary Walk), Conservatory Waters (Stuart Little), Alice in Wonderland statue, the Bethesda Terrace, Bow Bridge (Spider Man III) and the peace garden memorial of Strawberry Fields.

This Tour begins at the Southeast corner of Central Park (5th Ave & 59th, street meet in front of the Sherman statue) and ends at Strawberry Fields (West 72nd). Please plan accordingly
Join us for 2 hours, 2 miles (with break) $25
