Event description

Description

Join us in our office on October 17th for our final Central Ohio Stormwater Roundtable of 2019. Pizza lunch included!

We were originally planning to discuss the new MS4 Permit, but the final changes may not be known in time, so our agenda has been modified.

We will start with a brief overview of the MS4 permit requirements and anticipated changes, followed by a presentation from Kurt Keljo, Watershed Resource Specialist with Franklin Soil & Water, on "Analyzing and Addressing the Impacts of Stormwater on an Urban Watershed".

Kurt's presentation will summarize the results and recommendations of a hydrologic and hydraulic study of a 4.5 mi2 watershed in eastern Franklin County, while discussing a small stream restoration project implemented in conjunction with the study. The study and project were supported by a 319 grant from the Ohio EPA.

FYI: We will be holding a field workshop on October 24th as a follow-up to Kurt's presentation, where design & installation methods for the stream inserts will be focused on. More details on that training opportunity will be discussed at the roundtable as well.
