About this event
Join Preservation Maryland and our program The Campaign for Historic Trades for our Cemetery Preservation Workshop in Somerset County. We will learn basic preservation techniques to care for cemetery monuments, including cleaning the site, maintaining landscaping and cleaning gravestones. Please note that this workshop will require participants to stand or crouch while completing the preservation work in outside weather - come prepared!
12:30 pm – 2:30 pm Session 1: Introduction to Cemetery Preservation
2:30 pm – 2:45 pm BREAK (bring your own snacks and water, please)
2:45 pm – 4:30 pm Session 2: Guided Practice and Q & A
Participants are welcome to park in the Mount Zion Memorial Church parking lot, and bathrooms will be available on-site.
