Event description

Description

Please join us for a reception celebrating the recent elimination of trachoma as a public health problem in Cambodia and Laos.

The event will feature speeches from NTD advocates and members of the NTD community regarding the measurable progress towards combating these debilitating diseases around the globe – progress which would not have been possible without Congressional support for the USAID NTD Program.

Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

Please contact Lauren Mittman at lmittman@rti.org with any questions.

FAQs

How do I access the event location?

The Capitol Visitor Center, the main entrance to the U.S. Capitol, is located beneath the East Front plaza of the U.S. Capitol at First Street and East Capitol Street.

Once you arrive at the Visitor Center, you will need to go through airport-like security. After completing the security check, enter the Visitor Center and go down one level to Emancipation Hall. Once in Emancipation Hall, turn right, and walk towards the Senate-side of the Visitor Center. Check-in at the appointment desk, and Visitor Center staff will direct you to SVC-200.

There are various help desks and staff located throughout the Visitor Center. Stop by any help desk or ask any staff member for directions if at any point you need assistance locating the Senate-side help desk in Emancipation Hall.
