Celebration of the Saxophone - John Harle Saxophone, Steve Lodder Piano
Wed, March 22, 2017, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM GMT
John Harle has done more than any other saxophonist to increase the repertoire for the instrument. On the occasion of his 60th birthday he asked his composer friends, including Carl Davis and Michael Nyman, to write short pieces for him. The outcome will be an evening of music representing the worlds of classical, jazz, rock and new music. RGS ONA are proud to present this concert which includes the premiere of a new work written by Dr Bernard Trafford, RGS Headmaster. All profits from the concert will go to the RGS Bursary Fund. John will be accompanied by Steve Lodder on Piano.
