Celebration of the life and legacy of Sir David McMurtry

The event, being held in the Renishaw Innovation Centre at the company's New Mills site near Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, will include displays highlighting Sir David's early career in the aerospace industry; his achievements at Renishaw and McMurtry Automotive, and his wider contributions to the local community.

There will also be displays of Renishaw technology and access to areas of the Innovation Centre with which Sir David is especially connected, including additive manufacturing (3D printing) and a dedicated education centre for schools. The display from McMurtry Automotive will include the record-breaking Speirling hypercar.

Due to the nature of the event, this is not designed to be a family day and there will be no activities for children. The event will be open to all people who knew Sir David and wish to help celebrate his life and legacy, including his family/friends, employees of Renishaw and McMurtry Automotive, former employees and members of the local community.

The event will be open between 9am and 5pm, with the last arrival at 3pm. We estimate that the average time that people will spend at the event will be between one and two hours. Due to the large number of people expected to attend the event, attendance is by ticket only and tickets will have timed arrivals - please choose your arrival time when you register.
