225th Anniversary of the Ratification of the Bill of Rights
The first ten amendments to the United States Constitution are collectively known as the Bill of Rights. First proposed by Representative James Madison on June 8, 1789, the Bill of Rights was ratified on December 15, 1791. The Supreme Court Historical Society and the Georgetown Center for the Constitution join in commemorating the 225th Anniversary of the Ratification with a Lecture and Reception.
