Each year the Association of Nigerians of Greater Columbia organizes a Celebration of Colors. This festival is a collaboration between South Carolina’s Nigerian and African American communities. Over the years, this event has emerged as one of the Midlands-area premier events for those who believe that America’s greatness is tied to its diversity.

The Nigerian Community is presenting “Celebration of Colors – Strength of Diversity” at Masonic Temple, 2324 Gervais Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29204 at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017.

This event will commemorate the Nigerian 57th Independence Day. Highlights will include cultural dances, African stories, plays, and lectures. The event will also include a dinner and awards celebration, the unveiling of the Diaspora Personality of the Year, Nigerian leaders, and SC political, legislative and county leaders.
