Event description

Description

The winter solstice, also known as midwinter, is an astronomical phenomenon marking the day with the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year. In the Northern Hemisphere this is the December solstice and in the Southern Hemisphere this is the June solstice.

Celebrating Winter Solstice: This start of the solar Winter Solstice has been celebrated in cultures the world over for thousands of years. This start of the solar year is a celebration of Light and the rebirth of the Sun. We invite you to join us in taking time to reflect on this annual cycle, feel the power in knowing that each of us is a part of the sacred web of life, and bring more illumination to our intentions, inner strength and trust. Chef Terrance will join us for the outdoor event, where we will gather around the bonfire and share warm, delicious, nutrient-infused drinks.

This event will be held on Farm Road, at Sandra Wiseman's home. Directions will be provided once you register.
