Event description
Looking where we have come from and forward to the future of Health Related Professionals

About this Event

Mount Royal University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery will host its bi-annual event which will celebrate the valuable contributions of nurses and midwives globally — the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared 2020 “International Year of the Nurse and Midwife.” The Nursing Now campaign is aimed at improving global health and raising the status of nurses worldwide, while the International Confederation of Midwives is celebrating the work of midwives globally.

Mount Royal is proud to be celebrating 52 years of nursing and nine years of midwifery education. This year also marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. Throughout the event, we will commemorate the former Director of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Paula Price, PhD, RN, under whose leadership and guidance the School of Nursing and Midwifery has grown in prominence.

Let’s celebrate!

It's a time for interprofessional networking, to explore ways to improve healthcare and celebrate the valuable contributions of nurses and midwives globally.
