About this Event

CELEBRATING THE LIFE AND WORKS OF THE LATE ALEXANDER ‘KING’ PAUL!

Enjoy the poetry, writings and spoken word of this local inspirational young social activist whose talented young life was cut short due to brain cancer at age 21.

Alexander had some public acclaim when he spoke out about indiscriminate stop and search policies in 2014. His greatest spoken word recital “I Am Love” can be found on you tube.

The afternoon will be led by his mother, Joanna Brown, a lawyer, public speaker and author of his short biography. She will be accompanied by young people reciting poetry from the book and other sources. There will also be a short open mic session showcasing other talented performers of poetry and song.

Come support and engage!!!
