Celebrating SLO County Sustainable Food Entrepreneurs
Fri, October 7, 2016, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM PDT
Celebrating SLO County Sustainable Food Entrepreneurs will be a culinary exploration of some of our area’s finest foods and beverages including local food from businesses funded and coached by Slow Money SLO. Orchestrated by Niner Wine Estates’ renowned executive chef, Maegen Loring, tasting stations throughout the winery’s newly renovated gardens will showcase local ingredients while providing networking opportunities with SLO’s food artisans, entrepreneurs and supporters. Garden tours will also provide information about the ecological design of the winery’s onsite edible gardens.
Visionary founder and chairman of Slow Money, Woody Tasch, will be the featured speaker and will highlight the organization's work to support local environmental and economic health through investment in small and mid-sized food and farm businesses.
Proceeds from this fundraising event will benefit the San Luis Obispo chapter of Slow Money. The Cal Poly Center for Sustainability and Slow Money SLO are co-organizing this event. For more information, please visit slowmoneyslo.org
