Description
Join us on Earth Day to celebrate the launch of Guernica magazine’s Climate Fiction: A Special Issue with readings, conversations, and reception with the authors and experts from across disciplines on the importance of climate fiction for climate action. We will hear from authors Helen Phillips and Pitchaya Sudbanthad and photographer/filmmaker Nathan Kensinger, whose new works are featured in this issue.
They will engage in conversations with writers, scientists, anthropologists, environmental justice scholars including Ken Chen, Karen Holmberg, Eugenia Kisin, and Jerome Whitington, and Guernica Deputy Publisher Amy Brady to think together about their craft and climate advocacy.
This event is co-sponsored by NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study, Climate Working Group and Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU, and Asian American Writer’s Workshop.
