Banned Books Week is an annual event that celebrates open access to books in our schools, libraries, and communities. This year, PEN America will be celebrating the week in North Carolina with a full day of activities.
The morning will start at 11am ET with a drag queen sidewalk storytime in partnership with Stonewall Sports – Greensboro. This event will be an hour long, and ideal for curious children and families. Following a lunch break, PEN America will be hosting a sidewalk banned book reading and Pop Up Performance in the afternoon, starting at 2pm ET.
