Event Details

Please join friends and family to celebrate the life of Commissioner Ajay K. Ojha, Ph.D., and honor his memory. Ajay passed away in Escuintla, Guatemala on November 12, 2014 while on a volunteer service mission, helping to build a secondary school there. He was 38 years old. Dr. Ojha is survived by his mother, Kanti, and his brother, Vijay, both of Smithfield, NC.

In lieu of flowers and to celebrate his life, an educational scholarship fund has been set up in his name through the Upakar Foundation and donations may be made at: http://www.upakarfoundation.org/named-scholarships/ajay-ojha-memorial.

This memorial is held by OAPIA, the DC Mayor's Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander Community Development, local DC area community organizations, and friends and colleagues of the late Dr. Ojha, with the support of Dr. Ojha's family.

For any questions, please contact Neel Saxena: neel.saxena@dc.gov.
