When

Thursday, April 12 at 8:30 PM EDT

Will there be interesting presentations that aren’t so long that I get bored?

As a matter of fact there will.  We have three short (5 minutes) presentations planned:  The first is about open source spaceflight hardware.  The second is about how a network of hacker/maker spaces make it possible to build locally while also sharing your ideas globally.  The last presentation is about two groups using these ideas to take photos from the edge of space.

Will there be fun activities that make it feel like I'm at a party even though I’m watching from my laptop?

Yep.  In between the presentations we’ll show video clips and host trivia contests.  The winners of said contests will be awarded fabulous prizes ranging from public recognition to t-shirts.

I'm in!  How do I RSVP?

Let us know you are coming by “buying” a free ticket or a donation ticket from the "Ticket Information" box above.  Proceeds from donation tickets will go toward supporting the work of Mach 30 and may be tax deductible.

On Thursday night at 8:30 PM EDT, join us on YouTube for the party!

Should I invite my friends?

That would be fabulous.  You can share the invite on the social media platform of your choice or via e-mail--which ever works best for you.

What is Yuri’s Night?

Yuri’s Night is a global celebration of humanity’s past, present, and future in space.  Yuri’s Night parties and events are held around the world every April in commemoration of April 12, 1961, the day of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin’s first manned spaceflight, and April 12, 1981, the inaugural launch of NASA’s Space Shuttle.

Yuri’s Night events combine space-themed partying with education and outreach.  These events can range from an all-night mix of techno and technology at a NASA Center, to a movie showing and stargazing at your local college, to a gathering of friends at a bar or barbecue.

Visit the official Yuri’s Night website to learn more.

What is Mach 30?

At Mach 30 we believe everyone who wants to visit space should be able to do so–without raising millions of dollars first. In other words, we want humanity to become a spacefaring society.

We also believe that while government agencies like NASA and private companies like Space X may have similar end goals, their current paths will not lead toward regular space access in our lifetime.

Therefore, Mach 30 is organized as a non-profit organization (501(c)3 public charity) dedicated to the advancement of humanity into a spacefaring civilization.  We believe the best path to that goal is through sustainable leadership, open source hardware, and the use of mature technology.
