Event description

Description

It's the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine's 125th birthday, so we’re throwing a huge party! If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to enjoy cocktails, food and live jazz music in the world’s largest gothic cathedral now is your chance. On May 23rd, join us for what promises to be one of the most special and exciting evenings of the year while raising money for critical Cathedral programs.

6:00pm - 8:00pm

A beautiful dinner held in our ornate chapels. Guests will enjoy a full bar and food from around the world, as each chapel is dedicated to a different culture and the varied menu will celebrate that. Tickets to the dinner include admission to the birthday party.

7:30pm - 10:30pm

Wear your most festive attire and experience the Cathedral as you never have before, as you are welcomed by The Bowery Boys, hosts of the New York City history podcast of the same name, who will MC the evening. Enjoy cocktails designed by Highland Park Whisky exclusively for the party, and dance to live jazz performed by The Duke Ellington Legacy Band. You will also have the chance to ascend a spiral staircase to the triforium to view the party and experience one of the world's architectural gems from above. When you're ready for a break, head over to a fully stocked dessert bar for a bite.

Follow us on Instagram and Twitter @stjohndivinenyc as we’ll be posting exciting updates about the party in the coming weeks.

Grab your tickets now before they sell out. We'll see you on May 23rd!
