Restore Mass Ave

Restore Mass Ave (www.restoremassave.org) engages residents, embassies, and public and private partners to plant and sustain a full canopy of trees on Embassy Row, Washington D.C.’s most famous diplomatic avenue. We share our know-how with others, making Embassy Row a living classroom. We work to revive the historic, park-like environment of trees and supporting landscape showcasing the important mansions that line this street. Our goal is to make Embassy Row the best remaining “grand avenue” in the nation and a model for sustainable historic streets everywhere.

Restore Mass Ave

Mission

We engage residents, embassies and public and private partners to plant and sustain a full canopy of trees on Embassy Row, Washington DC’s most famous diplomatic avenue.

We promote restoration of the complete historic landscape, creating green space for the city. We advance recognition of Embassy Row as a national landmark.

We share our know-how with others who hope to “green” their streets, making Embassy Row a living classroom.

Vision

We envision Embassy Row in Washington DC as a national landmark, complete with a healthy canopy of major trees and a unifying landscape that revives it. It will be the best remaining “grand avenue” in the United States and a model for sustainable historic streets everywhere.
