All are welcomed to join us for an evening of prayer and praise as we celebrate life with Audrey Assad and the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. The evening will go as follows, we will have a travelers Mass at 5:00pm, followed by a 6:00 pm Holy Hour with evening prayer led by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. All are invited to join us for a simple dinner at 7:00pm, followed by a concert by Audrey Assad.
Audrey Assad is the daughter of a Syrian refugee, an author, speaker, producer, and critically lauded songwriter and musician. She releases music she calls “soundtracks for prayer” on the label Fortunate Fall Records, which she co-owns with her husband. She is also one half of the pop band LEVV,whose debut EP peeked at #17 on the iTunes Alternative chart.
Since 1987, the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal have lived in some of the poorest communities in the United States, Europe, and Central America while evangelizing and ministering to those in need. In the beginning, eight Capuchin friars founded a community in New York’s “almost abandoned and drug-infested” South Bronx. Among its founders were men who would become prominent figures in Catholic media, including Father Benedict Groeschel, Father Andrew Apostoli, and Father Stan Fortuna.
If you want to join us for dinner and the concert we are asking for a $15 donation. Mother Seton Parish is also opening up our parish to groups who are traveling from out of town to stay for the night. If you need a place to stay on the eve of the March for Life we are asking for a donation of $35 which includes: dinner, concert, overnight accomodations (in a meeting room or classroom), breakfast and a bagged lunch to take with you.
