Event description

Join two access to justice charities, Advocate and LawWorks, for Christmas carols and readings on Tuesday 18th December 2018, at Temple Church. This beautiful and historic venue will provide a special backdrop for the evening held in the heart of legal London a week before Christmas.

The evening will include a mix of sing-along congregation carols and musical performances as well as seasonal readings from Stephen Mangan, Lady Hale and Gyles Brandreth to get you into the festive spirit!

We are excited to announce special guest performances from Rob Burton, winner of the Woodwind Category Final of BBC Young Musician 2018, and the renowned Collegium Musicum of London Chamber Choir, whose focus on an a cappella repertoire has rendered them an outstanding reputation both nationally and abroad and who will be captivating us with parts of stunning Handel's Messiah.

Tickets start at £10. Special top price £45 tickets are available for those who want to continue the festivities after the concert, which include entry to a sparkling drinks reception in the Temple Round with the attending celebrity readers and performers.

The concert will begin at 6.00pm, after doors open at 5.30pm. All are welcome to this special night celebrating Christmas.

LawWorks is the leading pro bono charity for solicitors. We aim to inspire and support lawyers and law students to engage in pro bono activity to help improve the lives of vulnerable people. The proceeds from this concert will help to fund the work of our LawWorks Clinics Programme which supports a growing network of independent legal clinics across England and Wales where those who cannot afford to pay for a lawyer and who no longer qualify for legal aid can obtain free advice.
