Celebrate Black History Month: An Evening with Emory Campbell

Please join Bank Street's Priscilla E. Pemberton Society for a special Black History Month event on Wednesday evening, February 13, 2013, featuring distinguished speaker Emory Shaw Campbell who will deliver a lecture titled Penn Center: A Distinctive Change Agent for Freedom, from Emancipation Day to Present.
The event will take place from 5:30-8:00 PM. The lecture will be held in Bank Street's Evelyn Rome Tabas & Daniel Tabas Auditorium at 6:00 PM and will be immediately followed by a reception.
Read about Emory Campbell and his work as Executive Director of the Penn Center, as the inaugural Chairman of the federally appointed Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor Commission, and as President of Gullah Heritage Consulting Service. Emory Campbell has received numerous awards, including an Honorary Doctorate from Bank Street College of Education in 2000.
