Description

Oak Brook Polo's high-goal season comes to end with the re-established Cecil Smith Cup. Named after the greatest American polo player in history, Cecil Smith played for Paul Butler and the Oak Brook Polo Team helping the Club clinch its first U.S. Open Polo Championship® in 1960. He had also played in the famous East West Series in 1933 at Onwentsia Polo Club. Cecil carried a 10-goal rating from 1938 to 1962. The longest an American has ever held a 10-goal status.
