Event Information
Description
Participants
Operators - AT&T, Comcast, Verizon
CE Manufacturers - Various
Overview
To advance the state of IPv6 support across the consumer electronics ecosystem, CEA and major U.S. carriers are organizing an IPv6 interoperability test event. Participants will have the opportunity to test their dual-stack (IPv4/IPv6) and IPv6 capable devices and applications with the carriers, carrier-supplied routers and IP formats that are widely deployed to millions of broadband consumers today.
Further, manufacturers will have the opportunity to test their implementation to ensure they are compliant with the recently published CEA IPv6 device profiles standard, ANSI/CEA-2048. For more information about the CEA IPv6 Device Profiles standard, see bit.ly/1vnkvCT.
UPnP Forum will be providing their IPv6 test tool for general use at the upcoming IPv6 interop event. John Berg from CableLabs will be there with a dedicated computer to run the test, but you may want to install the test tool on your own computer to use at the interop event as well as at your own facility later. In order to get a personal copy of the test tool, you will need to be a UPnP Forum member. If you’re not already a member, you can join for free. However, a signed membership agreement is required. We are notifying you now, so you can get the agreement signed and even download and install the tool before the event if you choose. Here is the link if you would like to join UPnP Forum and gain access to the tool: http://upnp.org/membership/join_basic/.
