What is CCYC?

CCYC (Capital City Youth Convocation) is a unique Youth Retreat for youth, Ages 8-35 of all denominations, cultures and social affiliations ... But, CCYC is more than just a camp, it's a gathering where youth and young adults can receive impartation and purpose!

CCYC is all about Christ Centered Encounters where youth & young adults meet bi-annually to be spiritually, emotionally, and mentally fed, empowered and recharged.

What to Expect:

Youth ages 8-12 can expect to experience development activities crafted to ignite a sense of 'self-awareness' in God and life. They can also expect to receive aide in the discovery of individual talents and gifts.

Youth ages 13-17 can expect to be actively involved in empowering spiritual training which promotes self-awareness, and produces a solid spiritual foundation for them to build upon where Jesus Christ is the Chief Cornerstone. They will engage in dialogue, forums, having spiritual discussion that will propel them into the depths of Bible Study and the many practical applications of scripture in our life

Youth ages 18-35 can expect to be actively involved in leadership development opportunities and engage in spiritual volunteer activities, where they are challenged in deeper discovery and exercise of their gifts and talents in leading others.

Every year in July, we converge upon the city of Baton Rouge, LA (Our Host City), for a week of fun, fellowship and enrichment.

Safety Precautions

We advise any event staff and attendees to stay home if they have tested positive for COVID-19, are waiting for COVID-19 test results, have COVID-19 symptoms, or if they have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for or who has symptoms of COVID-19.

Health checks will be conducted such as temperature screening and other symptom checking of staff and attendees.

Physical (Social) Distancing

We encourage attendees upon arrival to stay at least 2 feet away from people who don’t live with them and encourage attendees and staff to limit physical contact.

Masks

Staff and attendees are encouraged to wear well-fitting masks that fit completely over their nose and mouth.

Hand Hygiene Etiquette

We require staff and attendees to wash their hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Hand sanitizer should be used frequently.

Signage

Signs will be posted in highly visible locations that promote protective measures and describe how to stop the spread of germs by properly wearing a mask, physical distancing, and washing hands.

Cleaning and Disinfection

Cleaning schedules are created for increased, routine cleaning.

Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces within the venue will take place before the event, daily, and as much as possible.
