Negotiating a $3,000 raise early in your career can earn you $1 million over your lifetime. The salaries you make early in your career become the basis for your future raises, so negotiating early and effectively matters.

Join CCYA for a panel with expert career consultants and executives who will discuss effective negotiation strategies. Afterward, join the panel and young alumni professionals for a networking session to help you hone your new negotiation skills.

This event is hosted by Columbia College Young Alumni (CCYA), Columbia College Student Council (CCSC) and Asian Columbia Alumni Association (ACAA).

Panelists:

Carol Rattray SIPA'80, BUS’81 is Co-founder of Zoomdojo, a college to career initiative. She was previously a Managing Director in the Tokyo office of the Whitney Group, an international executive search firm. Through her start-up, she advises and mentors young professionals on career strategy. Carol is a private investor and former investment banker.

Al Eng SEAS'78, BUS ’82 is Chief Investment Officer at Citi Wealth Management Services, Global Markets & Banking. As a member of Citigroup Corporate Task Forces on TARP/Treasury, Risk and Reengineering, he led the global expansion of Citibanking in Asia.

Kris Ishibashi BC’ 78, BUS’82 is a leadership/career coach with more than 25 years of business leadership experience working for JP Morgan, MTA Metro-North and Con Edison. She is a Certified Professional Coach by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.

Lily Rocha CC'10 is the Founder of thisiswhatmatters.org, a non-partisan humanities website that bring real faces to issues such as poverty, racism and sexism. She is also currently searching for business development roles in education technology after a few years in non-profit advocacy and federal policy.
