 Revising Grant Applications and Responding to Critiques

 

The goal of this session is to develop practical skills for reviewing and revising grant applications. Information will include identifying common mistakes in grant writing, draft review and revision, the NIH review process,

and responding to pink sheets.

 

The objectives are to reviewing the grant review process, NIH scoring criteria,

and the NIH resubmission policy.

 

Lunch will be provided.  First come, first served.

The PSTP is designed to provide practical assistance in the areas of scientific writing (such as the development of grants and scientific manuscripts), scientific presentations, career development, and leadership.  Funding is provided by the NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences as part of its Clinical and Translational Science Award Program (UL1TR000165).

The University of Alabama School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  The University of Alabama School of Medicine designates the seminar for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
