Join Gooru for a 2-Day Training with Achieve on aligning content to the EQuIP Rubrics for NGSS and CCSS Math - September 28th AND 29th
Achieve is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit education reform organization dedicated to working with states to raise academic standards and graduation requirements, improve assessments, and strengthen accountability. Achieve will be coming to the Sobrato Center in Redwood Shores (Redwood City, CA) to train Gooru's STEM Fellows on the EQuIP rubric as part of a course development project funded by Cisco. Achieve will provide 2 days of training on the EQuIP rubric for NGSS Science and CCSS Math (trainings held concurrently). The objectives of the EQuIP rubric are two-fold:
Increase the supply of high quality lessons and units aligned to the CCSS that are available to elementary, middle, and high school teachers as soon as possible; and
Build the capacity of educators to evaluate and improve the quality of instructional materials for use in their classrooms and schools.
We are excited to have Achieve's experts work with our Gooru team and Gooru Fellows, a cohort of teachers who design and implement Gooru courses. We have room for additional educators to join us if they would like to receive this training as well. The training will be all day on Sept. 28th and 29th and includes breakfast, lunch and snacks. If you know of anyone who may be interested in joining us, please have them reach out to Dr. Amy Alamar, Gooru Director of Learning and Instruction, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
