Description

CELEBRATE, SEE FRIENDS, & VISIT FAVORITE/NEW PLACES:

Remember sitting in a circle amongst newfound friends, the forest trees surrounding you, birds singing, pondering important life topics. Can you ever forget those silly moments during impromptu games with a great group of people, or getting really serious in that mind-blowing CCSP class? What about that close interaction with some amazing wildlife on a fieldtrip, or feeling the breath of God sweeping over you in that private moment that changed your life? Let us revisit those happy memories, and create more at CCSP's 20th anniversary summer reunions!

God's been faithful and good to CCSP for 20 years! That's a milestone and a blessing worth celebrating! Over the years we've grown beyond an academic semester program into the Center for Environmental Leadership (CEL), an organization helping to equip the Church to care for creation at national and international levels. Come to a CCSP reunion this summer to reconnect with CCSP and old friends. The proceeds from these reunions also contribute to building a sustainable foundation for CCSP's long term future.

Reunion 4 with former CCSP director Joel Vermillion and his family is starting off with a bang! Sign up now if you want to participate in that week.

WHERE?:

Reunions will be held at our campus in Belize. Please note the reunions are for all alumni regardless of whether you studied in Belize or in New Zealand. In other words, just because we are holding reunions at our Belize campus that does not mean these are "Belize program reunions."

What does our Belize campus look like? Here's a link to some photos.

If you'd like to go to New Zealand for a reunion one is being planned for 2017. Hold the dates of Jan. 1-7, 2017. Details TBA.

WHO?

Students, faulty, staff and friends of CCSP are all welcome. Since we're not doing this by year we'll have a mix of alumni, staff, and faculty from all years and programs attending. It's open registration, so as soon as we're full for the week we'll close the registration.

If you want to see your particular classmates we suggest getting in touch with them and organizing yourselves to come down during the same week. If you now have a family feel free to bring your spouse and kids too! Please contact us directly about the cost for kids.

Each week is going to be a diverse mix of CCSP friends, so come prepared to reconnect with classmates and staff, and to make new friends.

WHAT? HELP CO-CREATE THESE REUNIONS:

The reason we're getting together is to celebrate a meaningful and formative time in our lives with the people we experienced it with, and to re-explore for our post-college lives the community, values, and ideas that CCSP espouses. Our prayer is by the end of the week you'll feel refreshed, energized, and encouraged in body, mind and spirit by being together with your CCSP family, and in the special setting of our beautiful Belize campus.

To achieve our goals for the week we're going to keep it simple and not pack the schedule. We want lots of unhurried time for conversations and hanging out.

Help co-create the reunions by suggesting ideas we could do. It could be anything, an activity, a fieldtrip, food, a song, a movie, etc.. We also know that post-CCSP many of you are doing interesting things in your careers, in your community, and in your personal lives, and thus have stories, talks, and devotions to share with us. Please don't be shy, we want to hear what you're doing and learning, so in the schedule we'll have some designated slots for alumni to give talks and devotions. Please contact Shelby at Shelby@creationcsp.org if you have any general reunion suggestions, and when you sign-up we'll be touch to see if you have any ideas for co-creating your particular reunion week.

Here is a general overveiw for the week. Arrive and settle in on Saturday. Sunday we will worship and do an optional afternoon fieldtrip. Monday is campus day--hanging out and doing some volunteer work on campus. Tuesday is fieldtrip day going to some of our favorite spots around Belize. Wednesday will be a free day for you to do whatever you want to do. Make plans to visit Belizean friends, eat at your favorite restaurant, take that trip to a special place, or just hang on campus. Thursday will be a local volunteer day where we do something to help in the community. Friday will be another campus day and our last day together before departing on Saturday--although some of you may want to extend your time in Belize and go to the cayes, or others parts of Belize.
