CCI Training: Global Allies: An Introductory Workshop on Intercultural Competence

The Global Allies Training is an informational workshop designed to broaden its participants’ understanding of culture, introduce the concepts of intercultural competence, and increase cross-cultural sensitivity, awareness and understanding. Individuals who are interested in learning how to engage and better serve our international student population would benefit from this training.

The learning objectives from this training are:

• Develop a basic understanding of culture and intercultural competence
• Build skills to make interpersonal connections among diverse people
• Learn about strategies/resources to work with non-native speakers of English
