“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Mary Oliver

WOMEN'S RETREAT 2019
FEBRUARY 15-17
DUBOSE CONFERENCE CENTER, Monteagle , Tennessee

THE INTENTIONAL LIFE

Speaker: Reverend Lissa Smith

The 2019 Christ Church Cathedral Women’s Retreat is Friday afternoon, February 15 – Sunday morning, Feb. 17, 2019, at DuBose Conference Center in Monteagle, TN. There will be fellowship, workshops, small groups, coffee and conversation, intentional meals, leisure time, and FUN. This year, we are inviting young women (ages 16 and up) to join us as part of the Mother-Daughter experience.

The poet Mary Oliver asks us if we know what prayer is? If we know how to fall down and kneel in the grass? If we know how to be idle and blessed, to stroll through fields? With Lissa’s guidance we will step out of the comfortable familiar to gather in the mountains with our sisters and consider these questions. Through sharing the gospel, nature, and worship we will explore the tension between rest and challenge. Come. Take a peek into what it looks like to live in a community of faithful women while you explore soul filling restoration.

You can stay one or two nights or just come for the day on Saturday (Day Tripper). DuBose offers two types of rooms, and both are available either single or double occupancy. Bishop's Hall has motel style rooms. There are a limited number of these rooms and they will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Historic Claiborne Hall is dormitory style, with shared facilities. Please note that rooms in Claiborne Hall can only be accessed by using stairs.
