Event description
Learn what it takes to become a Central California Animal Disaster Team (CCADT) volunteer to help displaced animals during disasters.

About this Event

The Central CA Animal Disaster Team is actively recruiting for volunteers to join our team in Kern County to help your community’s animals during disasters.

On Sunday, November 17, 2019, the CCADT is offering two FREE workshops at the Bakersfield SPCA. The first one - "Volunteer Orientation" will teach you what it takes to be a CCADT volunteer.

Secondly, "The Basics of Emergency Animal Sheltering" will focus on the logistics of setting up and operating a co-located emergency animal shelter. For this workshop, we will focus on small animal sheltering. (Prerequisite: Must complete the "Volunteer Orientation" Workshop)
