CBT Supervision and Education: A Workshop for Professionals (CE 3)

Intermediate-Advanced Level: (CE 3) This workshop is geared to professionals who are already proficient in CBT themselves, and who regularly use the model in their practice. It is geared to intermediate and advanced practitioners, and it is not recommended for beginners.

Psychologists who supervise psychology associates are required a minimum of 3 CE hours in activities designed to enhance competence in the provision of clinical supervision. This workshop meets the minimum 3 CE hours for Maryland psychologists who supervise psychology associates.

This CE class is offered via live webinar as well as in-person. Please select the ticket type that you prefer.


CBT Supervision and Education: A Workshop for Professionals will teach participants the ins and outs of supervising clinicians who are adding CBT to their clinical work as well as those who are looking to refine their existing CBT skills. This accessible presentation will highlight the research around supervision and education of adult learners, the core competencies of CBT supervision practice, and the use of the Cognitive Therapy Rating Scale (CTRS) to evaluate CBT sessions.


Learning Objectives

1. Build empirically supported skills for instructing adult learners.

2. Describe and explain the core competencies of CPT supervision.

3. Utilize the Cognitive Therapy Rating Scale (CTRS) to assess the effectiveness of CBT session.


Presenter

Elisa Nebolsine is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist in private practice in Falls Church, VA. She is a licensed clinical social worker with a specialization in anxiety disorders in children, teens, and young adults. Elisa is a faculty member of the Beck Institute in Philadelphia where she teaches and supervises clinicians on the use of CBT in practice. Elisa is an adjunct faculty member at Catholic University, and teaches on clinical child practice as well as Cognitive Therapy. Additionally, she consults locally and nationally on CBT implementation in school and agency settings. Elisa’s book, A Kid’s Guide to Grit, will be published by New Harbinger in fall of 2020.
