This session was developed for internal medicine subspecialty and GIM faculty due to the upcoming formal implementation of CBME in the Post Graduate Internal Medicine Program.

Learning Objectives

  1. Correctly use the terminology associated with CBME (CBD, EPA, milestones, work-place based assessment, direct observation, formative and summative assessments, competence committee, etc.)

  2. Effectively discuss central principles of CBME

  3. Effectively use the new assessment tools implemented by the IM program

  4. Propose one or more strategies to successfully implement CBME in the IM Program
