Bio
Wadid Daoud was born in Cairo, Egypt where he spent his childhood years.
Through his teen years and into his twenties, Wadid travelled extensively through most continents and lived in Ghana, Iran, Mexico and United Kingdom finally settling in Florida.
In 1994 after getting valuable experience working in corporate America, Wadid left his international post and decided to try entrepreneurship by starting American Supply, the first of many domestic and international ventures. American Supply has grown considerably over the past 27 years, a true American dream company that began with $10,000 to buy a truck, a cellular phone and a fax machine. American Supply’s success has allowed Wadid’s family to be generous by developing and funding many educational, nutritional, housing and self-sustaining business development projects in poor developing countries. Our greatest joy is to be able to give freely and generously. Wadid and his family have donated over $5M through the company and family fund. Other ventures included real estate development and income rentals, a skin cream company, a chemical business, a welding wholesaler, a specialized health care business and feels like the list just goes on and on. Wadid has also provided seed money for many ventures in a multitude of businesses. In order to travel the world and live such a full life, God’s hand and provision has always been upon me and I would have never in my wildest dreams have been able to have lived such a full and overflowing life without His guidance and blessings. Wadid has served on many boards including Live the 4KIDS, Life and Buck Knob Island community, a North Carolina development on an island in Lake Glenville.
All the commercial success has been a blessing but the greatest blessing, and what makes it all worthwhile, is Wadid’s family. Wadid is married to Christina with whom they welcomed the new addition of three sisters that joined their permanent family in 2016. At our age starting over with three young ones, I jokingly tell my wife we’ll be 100 by the time they leave home. Although it is definitely a calling and not for the faint-hearted, it has brought both joy and heartache to the household and I would not trade it for anything.
