Buddy Helland was born and raised in Broward County Florida. He became a Christian 32 years ago and has attended Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale for 30 of those years with his wonderful Wife, Sandi, and their two blessings from God, Daughters Sarah (23) and Makayla (16).

He is now the VP & SR. Marketing Manager for The Good News Media Group that produces the Largest Christian Newspaper in America.

Buddy was owner/operator of BIG Way LLC. An Internet Travel Agency ranked 4 in the Top Ten for Earmarked Disney Agencies.

He was one of 4 Directors for the State of Florida during the 2016 election and served as the Broward County Field Director for Florida Family Action, under the umbrella of Focus on The Family.

Buddy was Partner/Executive Vice President of I-Com Genesis, Inc. (Internet Community Beginnings) leading the conceptual design team for “OmegaTroopers”, a large-scale multi-user Internet / CD-ROM hybrid application for Christian youth discipleship.

He designed “Pray As One” and Operation Troop Cover”, advanced, downloadable Internet applications providing powerful prayer opportunities. The software was released through 88.1 WAY-FM West Palm Beach, and Joy93 Freeport, Maine radio stations.

He participated as Co-Chair with Motorola as a member of the “K-12 team” for educational reform in partnership with The Broward Alliance for Broward Days.

Buddy is:

• A Local Government Academy Graduate for the City of Oakland Park and subsequently ran for Commissioner.
• College of Disney Knowledge Graduate
• A Foster and Adoptive Parent Association Graduate of 4KIDS
• A 2018 Graduate of Lifework Leadership of South Florida.
