Event description

Description

America Divided features stories about inequality in education, housing, healthcare, labor, criminal justice and the political system – all woven into an eight-story, five-part series. In this housing story TV legend Norman Lear speaks with realtors, homeless people, housing activists, landlords and city officials – investigating the Big Apple’s affordability crisis, hedge fund speculation on residential housing, and, with the help of the Fair Housing Justice Center, goes undercover in New York City to investigate housing discrimination that still persists today.

Our Q&A Panelists Include

  • Fred Freiberg, Executive Director of the Fair Housing Justice Center
  • Alexander Goldenberg, attorney-at-law with the civil rights firm Cuti Hecker Wang LLP
  • Abby Ellis, Producer of America Divided.

Discussion will be moderated by Benjamin Geballe, Vice President of the Fair Housing Justice Center Board and Congregation Beth Elohim congregant
